CCNA Certification: Two Ways to Get There

Pass CCNA 200-125 Exam

Pass One Exam: CCNA 200-125

Characteristics of many successful with the 1-exam path:
- Those already in a networking job
- Those who know parts of the content already
- Those good at taking difficult tests
- Those who can invest in much hands-on configuration practice
- Those re-certifying their existing CCENT or CCNA certification
Other reasons to pursue the 1-exam path
- Probably faster than 2-exam option
- You do not care about a CCENT certification
- You are sure you do not want to stop with CCENT, and plan to complete CCNA
- Going for CCNA will keep you motivated!
- Would a CCENT in X months and CCNA in X more (2-exam path) motivate you more or less than a CCNA in 2X months?

Pass ICND2 200-105 Exam

Pass ICND1 100-105 Exam

Pass Two Exams: 100-105 and 200-105

Characteristics of many successful with the 2-exam path:
- Those NOT in a networking job
- Those who know little about networking to begin
- Those who prefer tests with smaller amounts of content
- Those who would benefit from an earlier concrete goal (passing the ICND1 exam)
- Those with no experience taking Cisco exams
Other reasons to pursue the 2-exam path
- Easier to stay motivated with two major goals (exams) rather than one
- Would a CCENT in X months and CCNA in X more (2-exam path) be better for you than a CCNA in 2X months?
- You may want to stop after completing ICND1 and getting your CCENT certification
- Would a CCENT in X months and CCNA in X more (2-exam path) be better for you than a CCNA in 2X months?
